I bought a few books for my son's project at school. He's a 4th grader. He went through the book but wanted more simple facts. Don't get me wrong this is a great book. I think this is a great book for a detailed report. Lots of facts. I'm glad I bought all 4 books about Harriet Tubman.
These books are great for my third graders! They use these for their big biography projects and they offer tons of great info!
My son used the book as a source for a school project. He found Harriet's life fascinating. Kem Knapp Sawyer's rendition was extremely informative and factual, as a result my son received an A+
This is a very informative book for all ages. With the publicity about Harriet Tubman going on the 20 dollar bill, I was intrigued to learn more about her. After looking at the choice of books I decided on the DK Biography. I was not disappointed. I got a quick, basic education, and learned a fair amount about her. Hopefully my three grandchildren (ages 9 - 12), especially the oldest who likes history, will enjoy the book also.
Very good filled with with actual interviews of those who follower the Under grown rout to freedom.
